Participated in four Deaflympics from 1953 to 1965 – a remarkable achievement for a middle distance runner. In all, 11 finals in 5 different events as well as several heats in each.
The 800 metres was his strongest track event, winning 1 Gold and 2 Silvers in 4 finals.

- Milan 1957, Italy – 1 Silver
- Helsinki 1961, Finland – 1 Silver
- Washington 1965, USA was his final Deaflympics.
Represented Kent County AC and Lewisham Deaf Athletics - unbeaten in all British Deaf National and FLDC (London) meet races.
Now living well in Australia at the ripe age of 92.
